Non-Pauli errors in the three-dimensional surface code

چکیده
A powerful feature of stabiliser error correcting codes is the fact that measurement projects arbitrary errors to Pauli errors, greatly simplifying physical correction process as well classical simulations code performance. However, logical non-Clifford operations can map non-Pauli (Clifford) and while subsequent measurements will project Clifford back resulting distributions possess additional correlations depend on both nature operation structure code. Previous work has studied these effects when applying a transversal $T$ gate three-dimensional colour shown existence non-local "linking charge" phenomenon between membranes intersecting errors. In this we generalise results case $CCZ$ in surface find many aspects problem are much more easily understood setting. particular, emergence linking charge local effect rather than one. We use relative simplicity setting simulate their performance single-shot magic state preparation (the first such simulation account for full errors) threshold largely determined by probability $X$ occurring immediately prior application gate, after most recent measurement.

Optimal complexity correction of correlated errors in the surface code
The surface code is designed to suppress errors in quantum computing hardware and currently offers the most believable pathway to large-scale quantum computation. The surface code requires a 2-D array of nearest-neighbor coupled qubits that are capable of implementing a universal set of gates with error rates below approximately 1%, requirements compatible with experimental reality. Consequentl...
متن کاملPauli exchange errors in quantum computation
In many physically realistic models of quantum computation, Pauli exchange interactions cause a subset of 2-qubit errors to occur as a first-order effect of couplings within the computer, even in the absence of interactions with the computer's environment. We give an explicit 9-qubit code that corrects both Pauli exchange errors and all 1-qubit errors.
متن کاملTwelve-dimensional Pauli group contextuality
The goal of the paper is to check whether the real eigenstates of the observables in the single qudit Pauli group may lead to quantum contextuality, the property that mutually compatible and independent experiments depend on each other. We find that quantum contextuality crops up at dimension twelve in various configurations with a few rays. We use the Shannon capacity for characterizing the co...
متن کاملThree-dimensional surface texture synthesis
Texture synthesis has been extensively investigated by both computer vision and computer graphics communities during the past twenty years. However, the input and output are normally 2D intensity texture images. If the subjects are 3D surface textures (such as brick, woven or knitted textiles, embossed wallpapers etc.), these 2D synthesis techniques cannot provide the information required for r...
